UP Police Home Guard Exam Date 2026
The written examination is scheduled to take place over three days in April. Due to the high volume of applicants, the exam will be conducted in 6 shifts (2 shifts per day).
- Exam Dates: April 25, 26, and 27, 2026 (Saturday to Monday).
- Admit Card Release: Expected in the 2nd week of April 2026.
- Normalization: Since the exam is spread across multiple shifts with different question papers, a normalization process will be applied to ensure fair scoring.
Sample OMR Sheet & Instructions
The UPPRPB released a detailed OMR Instruction Notice on February 5, 2026. Filling the OMR correctly is critical, as any error in the Roll Number or Question Booklet Number can lead to immediate disqualification.
Key OMR Rules:
- Pen Type: Use only Black or Blue Ballpoint Pen. Use of pencils, gel pens, or fountain pens is strictly prohibited.
- No Corrections: Do not use whitener, blades, or erasers to change an answer. If multiple circles are darkened for one question, no marks will be awarded.
- Mandatory Fields: Ensure you correctly fill the Roll Number, Registration Number, and Question Booklet Series.
- Handling: Do not fold, tear, or put any stray marks on the OMR sheet, as it is processed by an optical scanner.
Visual Tip: The OMR will have 100 circles corresponding to the 100 General Knowledge questions. Ensure the circle is darkened completely—half-filled or “ticked” circles will not be counted.
