Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Most branches require a BE/B.Tech in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Pilot/NAOO/ATC: Requires 60% in 10th & 12th, and 60% in English (10th or 12th).
- Logistics/Education: Also accepts MBA, MCA, M.Sc, or MA in specific subjects with First Class/60%.
- Age Limit: Generally, candidates must be born between January 02, 2002, and July 01, 2007 (varies slightly by cadre).
- Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates are eligible.
Selection Process
Since there is no written exam, the competition is strictly based on academic merit and personality.
- Shortlisting: Applications are shortlisted based on normalized marks obtained in the qualifying degree. For B.Tech students, marks up to the 5th semester (pre-final year) or 8th semester (graduates) are considered.
- SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates undergo a 5-day Service Selection Board (SSB) interview at Bangalore, Bhopal, Visakhapatnam, or Kolkata.
- Medical Examination: A rigorous fitness test following Navy standards.
- Final Merit List: Based on SSB marks and medical fitness.
