1. Educational Qualification
- Degree: Full-time B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) with a minimum of 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Mandatory: Must have appeared for GATE 2025 in the corresponding paper code. Final-year students are eligible to apply provided they meet the criteria by the time of joining.
2. Age Limit (as of Feb 25, 2026)
- Maximum Age: 27 Years.
- Relaxations: 3 years for OBC (NCL), 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwBD.

The selection is strictly merit-based and follows this weightage system:
- GATE 2025 Score: 85% Weightage.
- Group Discussion (GD): 5% Weightage.
- Personal Interview (PI): 10% Weightage.
- Medical Examination: Conducted by the NTPC Medical Board.
💸 Salary & Benefits
Selected candidates are placed in the E1 Grade pay scale.
- Pay Scale: ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000.
- Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA/Company accommodation, and other perks under the “Cafeteria Approach.”
- Service Bond: Candidates must execute a service agreement bond of ₹5,00,000 (₹2,50,000 for SC/ST/PwBD) to serve for at least 3 years.
